MAVERICK RUGBY CLUB
Maverick Rugby Club was established in 2012, Gavin Maude is the current Chairman and Head Coach, positions he took up in 2021. “The Mavs” are going through a period of transition and growth. Operating from a burnt down cricket pavilion which they restored in 2015, they serve the best Guinness in Essex. Plans are in final stages for approval of a new clubhouse and in 2022 they took part in the Dubai 7’s. In 2024 they will tour South Africa and Zimbabwe playing games
in Hoedspuit and Harare while enjoying some R&R in Kruger and Victoria Falls.
The club are starting a second senior team and mini section in 2023 and are binging ladies rugby to the club.
