MAUN PUPPIES

The Maun Puppies was the first children’s rugby club in Maun. Established in 2012 the club provided children who lived in poverty to play rugby. Pemberton Partners was instrumental in the providing them with funding to start the club by building a pitch and sponsoring a coaching framework for children aged 6-17.  Since helping establish the club, Pemberton Partners has continued to support the club both on and off the pitch. Players have been provided with the opportunities to win life changing rugby school scholarships in South Africa and we recently saw the first children that joined at 6 years of age play for the Botswana Under 20 National team. 

Pemberton Partners continues to be an active sponsor and recently funded an Under 17 tour for the Maun Puppies to South Africa where the team spent 1 week training and playing against some of the top South African schools.
